Last year I did something a little different for Valentine’s Day.
Instead of focusing on couples and romance, I invited a bunch of girlfriends to dinner at The Dixboro Project in Ann Arbor… and it ended up being one of my favorite nights of the whole year.

We sat around the table, ate good food, had a few drinks, and just caught up. Real conversations, lots of laughing, and that kind of easy feeling you get when you’re with people who feel safe. When I was looking back at photos from the night later, I noticed my little “power vein” on my forehead. It always shows up when I’m really happy and fully in the moment.

There was something really sweet about being in a room full of women who were all in different seasons of life, but still choosing to show up for each other. Some of us were single, some married, some dating, some healing….but none of that really mattered. We were just there as friends.

When Valentine’s Day started coming up again this year, I had several friends ask if I was going to plan another Galentine’s Dinner…So yes, we’re bringing it back, and I’m honestly so excited that we get to do this together again this year!
Because Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to just be about romantic love. Some of the deepest, most meaningful love in our lives comes from our friendships. The people who know our stories, our kids, our messy days and our wins. The ones who sit with us when things are hard and cheer us on when things are good.

This year’s Galentine’s dinner is just about celebrating that. Getting dressed up, sitting down together, and taking a little time to honor the friendships that hold us up.
If you’ve ever felt like you wanted something meaningful on Valentine’s Day that isn’t about couples or pressure or expectations… this is it. Just good food, good women, and really good energy.

I can’t wait to do this again. 💕
