Lawrence Street Gallery
Lawrence Street Gallery is once again hosting its much anticipated “Think Small 2025” exhibition, running from December 3rd to December 26th. This annual all-media show is a gallery favorite and a long standing December tradition. The challenge for artists is to express themselves in the biggest way possible within the smallest space. All pieces submitted must measure a maximum of 12 inches in any dimension. This year, Sheri Lee Robinson, an accomplished abstract/surrealist painter known for her work in the metro Detroit area and beyond, served as the juror. She selected 102 works of art from 69 artists, ensuring a diverse and high-quality collection for visitors to explore.
The “Think Small 2025” show features an impressive array of talent, with 116 artists entering their work for consideration. Visitors can look forward to seeing 102 accepted pieces prominently displayed in the main gallery. Additionally, member artists will have fresh artwork on display throughout the rest of the galleries, offering even more options. The gallery will host an mid-month reception on Sunday, December 21st, from 2-4:40pm. The last day to view this exceptional collection of small art is Saturday, December 26th. This event is a highlight for the metro Detroit art community and a fantastic opportunity to discover unique art.
Northville’s Small Works All Media
Additionally, right here in Northville, Small Works features 125 works of art on a diminutive scale, 16 inches or less, created in a variety of media by 67 artists from around the country.
This year’s artwork, juried by the Northville Art House Exhibition Committee, ranges from 2D collage, drawings, paintings, photography, and traditional prints to 3D ceramics, assemblage, mixed media, stoneware, and metalwork.
This exhibit closes on December 18th so you still have time to catch it before it disappears!
