Prepare for a weekend of celebration and creativity at the Northville Art House! This Saturday, December 13th, the 3rd annual “There’s Snow Place Like Northville Family Day” returns. From 11 am to 3 pm, the Art House will become a festive location, providing a pleasant break for families wanting to mark the holiday season. This event aims to unite the community for a day packed with artistic activities, enjoyable entertainment, and the chance to discover original holiday presents, all within the appealing downtown area of Northville, Michigan. The Northville Art House is pleased to host this valued family gathering once more.

The main objective of “There’s Snow Place Like Northville Family Day” is to offer a welcoming and stimulating experience for individuals of all ages. It presents an opportunity for families to strengthen bonds through shared creative projects, recognize the abilities of young local artists, and possibly find that ideal, handmade gift. The event promotes generosity and inventiveness, serving as an excellent way to begin the holiday celebrations. Residents of Northville, Michigan, and nearby areas are invited to join the fun and create lasting memories at this well-liked family occasion. The Northville Art House truly comes alive during this time, highlighting the active arts community.

Across the Northville Art House, various engaging activities are available. Downstairs in Santa’s Workshop, children aged three and up can express their creativity by completing three different holiday crafts, suitable for giving or keeping. Close by, the Hot Cocoa Bar will provide a warm and sweet refreshment to boost the festive mood. Upstairs, The Great Elven Hall offers a lively area for family games and viewing the Small Works art exhibition. This section also includes a temporary display featuring the notable work of young local artists, such as jewelry, paintings, and greeting cards. Tickets can be purchased for two time blocks: 11 am – 1 pm or 1 pm – 3 pm. Admission is $10 per child (ages 3+), with adults and younger children entering for free. Booking tickets ahead of time is strongly advised for this popular family event at the Northville Art House.

Enhancing the cheerful atmosphere, the Winter Wonderland Studio provides an attractive backdrop for holiday photos, complete with seasonal decorations. Visitors can also view art displayed on the Emerging Elf Wall. A special feature will be the performance by the Northville Children’s Chorale, a community collaborator with the Northville Art House, who will fill the building with songs. Santa Claus might even make an appearance, spreading additional holiday joy. Before leaving, children are encouraged to write a wish for Santa on the Holiday Wish Tree. This family event genuinely reflects the spirit of the season, offering a wholesome and memorable experience for everyone who enters the Northville Art House in Northville, Michigan, celebrating the arts and the community.
