🎄✨ A Plymouth Holiday Season Worth Savoring: Your 2025 Guide to All Things Merry & Local ✨🎅

If there’s one thing Plymouth does better than almost any other Michigan town, it’s the holidays. As soon as the lights begin to twinkle down Penniman, the shops dress their windows, and Kellogg Park gets its annual glow-up, you can feel the shift — the season has arrived.

There’s something comforting about the way Plymouth celebrates. The traditions are familiar, the smiles are warm, and the community shows up. Whether you’re a longtime local or new to the area, 2025 brings a lineup of festive experiences that capture the heart of what makes our town special.

So grab your gloves, your kids, your cocoa, or even your dog — and let’s walk through what’s happening in Plymouth this holiday season.

 Santa’s City of Plymouth Parade

Friday, November 28 | Parade begins ~5:30 PM, Military PCEP Choir & Holiday Show 6:30-7:30 PM, Santa arrival ~7:30 PM

An evening of festivity and fun: the parade winds through town, culminates at Kellogg Park with Santa’s arrival and the big tree lighting. A perfect outing for families and those seeking holiday cheer.

🎅 Santa in the Caboose: A Small-Town Tradition with Big Holiday Magic

Some holiday traditions are charming because they’re simple — and Santa in the Caboose is exactly that. Tucked behind the Plymouth Historical Museum sits a bright red caboose, decorated and ready for families to step inside and meet Santa himself.

It’s cozy. It’s nostalgic. And best of all, it’s completely free.

Santa arrives on Saturday, November 29th at 1 PM and will be visiting with families from 1–4 PM on select dates through December 21. No tickets, no long lines, no rushed moments — just a chance to capture a sweet memory with the kids, grandkids, or the childlike adults in your life.

It’s everything a local holiday event should be.  For more details click here

🌲 Walk of Trees: Where the Community

Shines Brightest

From the end of November through early January, Kellogg Park becomes a glowing forest of decorated Christmas trees — each one sponsored and styled by local families, clubs, schools, and businesses.

There’s something magical about wandering through the Walk of Trees after dark. Kids point out their favorite displays, couples take photos under the lights, and the whole park feels like the heart of Plymouth beating brightly through the cold.

It’s the perfect low-pressure outing — no schedule, no rush, just you and the lights.

Christmas in Plymouth & Mistletoe Market:

Three Days of Festive Fun

If you love the charm of downtown Plymouth any time of year, you’ll adore it during Christmas in Plymouth weekend.

From December 12–14, the streets transform into a holiday festival filled with shopping, treats, entertainment, and glowing photo spots. The Mistletoe Market is a must-visit — think 50+ artisan vendors, handmade gifts, and local makers offering unique finds you won’t get at any big-box store.

Kids can stop by Candy Cane Corner located at 450 Forest Ave under the heated tent for crafts and cookie decorating, families can take a holiday carriage ride, and Santa & Mrs. Claus pop in throughout the weekend.

It’s the kind of event that fills your bags and your heart. For more information visit https://christmasinplymouth.com/

🎁 Simple Seasonal Moments: Sometimes the

Small Things Matter Most

The big events are wonderful, but Plymouth is also full of small, beautiful moments during the holidays:

  • Grabbing a festive latte at Plymouth Coffee Bean downtown and strolling through the Walk of Trees

  • Taking the kids to see Santa without crowds or chaos

  • Window-shopping at night when everything is glowing

  • Supporting local shops and makers during the busiest retail season of the year

  • Sharing a quiet moment in Kellogg Park with someone you love

These are the things you remember long after the calendar flips to January.
